Christmas Cookies
Ingredients
- 3 Cups Flour
- 1.5 Teaspoons Baking Powder, Double Acting
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Butter (2 Sticks)
- 1 Egg
- 3 Tablespoons Coffee Cream
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Preparation
- Sift together in mixing bowl: Flour, Baking Powder, Salt and Sugar
- Soften Butter
- Cut in butter until particles are fine
- Add slightly beaten egg, cream and sugar
- Blend
- Roll out on floured pastry board to 1/8 inch thickness.
- Cut in desired shapes
- Bake at 400 for 5 to 8 minutes until delicately browned
- Cool completely before decorating.
Christmas Cookie Frosting
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Butter (1 Stick)
- 4.5 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Coffee Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
Preparation
- Blend 2 cups powdered sugar with butter.
- Add cream and vanilla and mix thoroughly.
- Add more powdered sugar for desired consistency.
- Spread on cookies and decorate as you wish.
