Caesar Salad
Ingredients
- 6 oz. extra light olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 large lemon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 egg
- 2 heads romaine lettuce
- parmesan cheese
- (Optional) anchovies (Cento, Flat Fillets)
Preparation Steps
- Mince the garlic cloves and juice the lemon.
- Combined the olive oil, the lemon juice, the minced garlic, salt and pepper. Stir and refrigerate.
- Clean and cut the romaine lettuce into byte size pieces. I often buy pre-washed, ready to serve romaine lettuce.
- Coodle the egg for 1 minute in boiling water. Add the egg to the dressing and stir.
- When you are ready to serve, mix the dressing with the lettuce and anchovies (if desired). Parmesan cheese can be grated with the salad before serving or added to each serving.
