Caramel Brownies

Caramel (14 oz.) - 1 box
Evaporated Milk - 2/3 cup
Butter - 1/2 cup
Devil Food Cake Mix - 1 box
Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips - 6 ounces

Preheat oven to 350. Melt caramels with 1/3 cup of evaporated milk over low heat. (Can use double boiler to melt caramel.) Stir frequently until smooth consistency. Set aside.

Melt 1/2 cup of butter. In a large bowl, mix Devil Food cake mix with melted butter and 1/3 cup of evaporated milk.

Press half of dough mixture into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake for 6 minutes.

Sprinkle 6 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips over the baked dough. Pour caramel over the chocolate chips as evenly as possible. Crumble the remaining half of uncooked dough over the top of the caramel. Bake for 15-18 minutes.

Cool completely then refrigerate for 1 hour (so that they can congeal). Cut into squares. Enjoy!
