Christmas Cookies

Flour - 3 cup
Baking Powder, Double Acting - 1.5 teaspoons
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Sugar - 1 cup
Butter - 1 cup
Egg - 1 large
Coffee Cream - 3 tablespoons
Vanilla - 1 teaspoon

Sift together in mixing bowl: flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Soften butter. Cut in butter until particles are fine. Add slightly beaten egg, cream and sugar. Blend. Roll out on floured pastry board to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut in desired shapes. Bake at 400 for 5 to 8 minutes until delicately browned. Cool completely before decorating.
